Overview
Ionian is a biotechnology company with an exciting new technology for DNA and RNA amplification. Ionian's proprietary isothermal technology, termed the NEAR Assay, is capable of amplifying extremely low amounts of starting material to easily detectable levels in just a few minutes. The exquisite assay sensitivity and speed make the NEAR Assay an ideal choice for point-of-care (POC) and field-deployable systems. Ionian is developing assays for infectious disease diagnostics, agriculture (GMO), food hygiene and biothreat detection.
